Waste Water Sewers
Waste water is created by domestic and industrial
users the latter in particular often contributing very harmful pollutants.
Again strict rules and standards are set by EU directives and the Environment Agency.
Few people think about waste water and what must be done with it. However in line with our environmental policy we commit ourselves to the sensible application of techniques and processes in treating waste water appropriately allowing it to return to nature in an acceptable condition.
The recycling concept applies to water as much as any commodity and re-use of properly treated water can be directed back for such uses as power generation, industrial cooling processes, agricultural and landscape irrigation and supporting wildlife. Such sensible application also frees up better quality water for other purposes, essential with such a scarce resource.
Lewis Civil Engineering has the necessary expertise in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary treatment of waste water. We are involved in supplying and installing systems for:
- chemical/biological treatment
- sludge handling
- oxidation/aeration
- pollution control
- sewer monitoring
